Quote
The Seahawks have allowed two passers to exceed 300 yards all season.

Peyton Manning, meanwhile, has thrown for more than 300 yards in 13-of-18 combined regular-season and postseason starts.

What we have here is a compelling matchup — and the ingredients for the sort of proposition bet Nevada sports books love to post this time of year.

In numbers released Friday, oddsmaker William Hill U.S. set Manning’s Super Bowl yardage at 323.5. Bettors can either take Manning to throw for more or less than the posted yardage.

Back on September 29, Texans quarterback Matt Schaub threw for 355 yards in a wild 23-20 overtime loss to Seattle. That’s the high-water mark for passing yards against the Seahawks this season. Only one other quarterback — the Saints’ Drew Brees — has exceeded 300 gross passing yards against Seattle.

Manning, for the record, has averaged 339.3 yards in his starts this season.

From PFT

I would take the under on that.

I'm not gonna bet against the GOAT QB having the GOAT season.

Manning is going to be playing in what I presume to be rather cold conditions (and he can look pedestrian in bitter conditions), against a very very good defensive group.  I could argue that their defenders are much better than the offensive skill set players (the weather if bad is going to help a ground n pound squad with a beast defense).  Going to be a great game!

I am not even sure what is going to happen in this game.  I can see Manning being stymied for two and a half QTRS or so, and suddenly catching hot and making a nice statistical day for himself despite being hampered for the vast portion.  I can also see him having a monster game.  A lot of experience on Mannings side.

I absolutely love watching Manning play and, for me, he's the GOAT. But, he does have a tradition of struggling in big games. Plus, we all know Defense wins Championships.

I wouldn't be surprised by a 230 yard day from Manning. I still think the Broncos will win, though.

Agree.  If its sloppy, the Hawks can pound Skittles all day long. Manning is great no doubt, but that Hawks D is clicking on all cylinders right now. I can't see him throwing for 300 plus.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"
