Paging Paige(sp). That guy sucked so bad. I couldn't even comment on how bad he sucked.
and yet he was still top 10 in punts and ko's. Only 3 guys did both better.

Thank you GT. I don't understand the Page hate either.

So what exactly separates the 5th best returner, from say the 18th best returner?

Page sucked. Slow. Fumbled. Penalty for ridiculous late hit. He wasn't anything great, and a "top10" returner isn't anything to brag on.

He sucked.

about 4 yards a punt return?

page had 45 returns  - how many fumbles did he have?  i remember 1 on an extremely dumb reverse and one on a punt return, were there a lot?

i dont think he is great, but i do think he is solid.

That's enough.

And the stupid penalty.

The difference between a top 10 returner and a returner in the top 15. No big difference.

Page has no long speed and rarely showed shift. He is replaceable.

Meh.

Draft Dri Archer. He can contribute on offense as well.

who cares about long speed?  jeff demps has long speed and where has that gotten him?  returning kicks is about vision much more than being a sprinter.

id sign hester on the cheap to take demps spot, returns and gimmick RB plays.  re-sign page as a backup slot guy with returns if needed.

page is definitely replaceable - but im not sure it would be worth it.

I would also prefer McCluster over Devin Hester.

Who cares about long speed in a returner?

Okay. I'm done with ya. You clearly lose.

And let us not put Demps in blast yet. His sample size is too irrelevant for you to say "what has that gotten him".

It got him in the NFL is what it got him dude.

We haven't seen what Demps can do yet, so I don't get the point in referencing him. Hopefully he gets his shot this year and is an outstanding returner for us.

With Page, he sucked. He was average at returner, was no threat to take it all the way, and he was good for at least one bone head mistake every single game.

imo, best option:
FA
1) Dexter McCluster or Ted Ginn for $2-3M per year
2) Devin Hester for one year $1.5M (draft Tyler Lockett or Jamison Crowder next year)
draft
3) Odell Beckham Jr at #38
4) Dre Archer with a 3rd day pick
5) sign some good udfa to compete with Eric Page and Jeff Demps (De'Anthony Thomas, Brelan Chancellor, Solomon Patton)

Archer would be nice.

Demps and Archer is a lot of open space speed.

Mccluster is more quick than fast, but he makes people miss. Huge assert.

Don't really want him....he adds nothing of value on offense.

Won't complain though. Neither does Page , but Page doesn't excite me as a returner either.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

Any thought of Dri Archer being a 3rd day pick ended when he ran that crazy 40 time. NFL loves speed. Someone will reach.

Hester was #7 last year in KR average
Page was #13 last year in KR average

Hester was #4 in PR average last year
Page was #12 in PR average last year

Hester had 11 fair catches last year.
Page had 20 fair catches last year.

Skill wise Hester would be an upgrade, assuming they have similar years again, but not a huge one. There are only a few yards separating the two in KR and PR average but the biggest discrepancy is the fact that Page fair caught so many balls. Personally I think Hester is to old to be great at what he does anymore. I'm not pushing for Page but considering Page brings more potential in the passing game, I'd go with him.

For the record, I don't believe the '14 bucs will have either on it's roster.
