There are only so many teams that can afford to pay him "fairly".  Contender or not we could still get him if we want to badly enough.

Especially after we cut the best cb in the league to save 16 mil. They'll have to use some of it on a corner though unless we want the worst CB tandem in the league

Yeah, The bucs don't need a consistent 10 sack guy on this team.

Please stop - He's 52 years old.  Nobody gets better by signing free agent Jared Allen.  Please tell me his playoff record.

Wait, what? Getting 10+ sacks every year consistently isn't enough? He's suddenly the QB, Offense, Special Teams, Defense, Head Coach AND Front Office?

ANY TEAM gets better by signing Jared Allen.

Jared Allen wasn't even among the top 5  DEs available...

Age is a big reason why IMO.

Good. Bucs need to build for the long term. They would be better putting that money to younger players like Johnson.
