This could be a possible rarity if UF get both championships this year in the two major sports. The Gators are normally know as a footbal school, but basketball seems to be catching up. What team do you think is better? Or better yet, can UF be considered as a national powerhouse in basketball if they win it out this year?

We already hold both championships in 2006. Don't think we're a powerhouse yet?  If we repeat we will be the 1st since Duke 92-93. We are a basketball school & a football school!

Football school, slowly becoming a both. The Gators were perennial underachievers in bball, mainly the Big Dance, especially with so many early round exits.

I know he was the coach, but he has changed the way people think of basketball. And Kentucky will not get him.

The 2006 basketball team is better than the 2006 football team. The football team overachieved a little and got some good breaks but the basketball team is just flat out loaded. By 2008-9 the football team could be close to that level.

It would be, as good as Tubby Smith is, it would take one title from Donovan to dethrone him.
