I'm willing to go with Garcia as the starter, but I think I'm one of the few who would rather see Plummer start with Garcia as the BU. I do think Simms could be traded, if Plummer agrees to return before the draft - pending we get at least a 2nd rounder [which might be asking too much].
Quote from: Snook on March 27, 2007, 06:00:36 PMWhy do so many people make a stink over all of our QBs? Even if Plummer, Garcia and Simms are our 3 QBs on roster, we're still around $10 million TOTAL for quarterbacks - which is what some teams pay for just ONE.Yes but our 3 $10m worth of QB's aren't as good as one of their $10m QB ** Atlanta being the exception

On the other hand simms is already to play and i think he will be a good quarterback soon.

but where do you get the idea Simms will be a good QB? That's what confuses me. It's been 4 years and he still sucks.

I think people are blinded when they hear that last name, they see images of Phil, they see Matt, they just assume he's better than Phil, he's got Phil's tools, ect., isn't that the same thing that kills Eli Manning again and again? Everyone assumes Simms will project to being above average, but step back and look at his college career, in which he couldn't win the big one and was replaced by a guy whom Simms was supremely more athletic and talented than, but wasn't nearly as savvy or intelligent. Now look at his situation here, he's got the big arm, the body, the looks to be a quarterback, ect., but is he really all that talented? u no u actually do have a great point there. I think a lot of us get caught up with the last name including me sometimes. However He does have a great arm tho and i think with the right weapons he could be good some day not great but good.

How do you lead the team back in the 4th quarter despite his smarts?? That makes no sense.

What football smarts? His problem is he doesn't have any of those. He's got the arm, the height, and a training that other QBs can only dream of, and yet he's no better than a short rookie with crap training and a small school background. THat's a giant red flag.

THat's a giant red flag.Much to the staff's dismay, Simms continued to struggle with mastering the offense last offseason. Gradkowski had it down better than Simms, despite being a rook. I know people don't want to hear that, but it's the truth.
