I haven't heard anything about him?

was he doping then, or is he injured again?
why else would no one touch him?

Because he wasn't that great to begin with.

I don't disagree.  But how did he make the roster over a guy that could contribute, like Shep, or an extra OL or DL?

One of the more odd decisions by the FO this year. If he was easily expendable why in the world would you keep him on the roster?

Thats a good point. They may aswell have cut him in the final cuts and kept Shep, or someone like Andrew Williams or Jon Bradley.

In the Preseason, He couldn't even consistently create enough separation to get the ball against 2nd/3rd String players, let alone against Starters.

He was cut, never WAS on the final roster.

He wasn't on the opening day roster, but he was on the final roster after the last PS cut, giving the impression that he had made the team.  IIRC, Boston was cut the day before the Ravens game...
