http://www.footballsfuture.com/news/2007/03/louisvilles-pro-day-okoye-continues-to.html

Amobi Okoye continued his impressive off-season with an exceptional performance at Louisville's Pro Day. Okoye, at 305 pounds, ran a 4.85 40 yard dash. This was a nice improvement over his disappointing 5.07 40 time at the combine due in part to a sore hamstring. He could be a top ten pick in April's draft and has passed Alan Branch on many draft boards as the top defensive tackle in the draft.

What were his agility numbers?  Forget the 40.

Okoye (301 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.88. He also had a 4.44 short shuttle but stood on his numbers from the Combine for the rest.     29 reps on the bench press; 30 inches in the vertical jump; 9 feet, 3 inches in the broad jump and 7.46 seconds in the 3-cone drill

He clocks in at a 68 on the old explosion measure which is good but not elite and his short shuttle and cone times are above average but not top of the board. He's about what people should have thought, one tier down from the top of the board.

If you think Manziel is the best QB in this draft I can safely assume you are an idiot and will treat you as such.

How do Okoye's numbers compare to those of Marcus Thomas and Justin Harrell?

Harrell: 5.04 40, 63 explosion measure, 4.79 short shuttle, 7.63 3 cone.

Defensive tackle Marcus Thomas  is scheduled to work out separately on March 29 in Jacksonville.

Dal when you get the chance can you give us the Explosion measures for Gaines Adams, Jamaal Anderson and possibly Adam Carriker? Much appreciated if you can.

Adams = 70
Anderson = 64.5
Carriker = 75.5

A big freak you didn't ask about was Charles Johnson = 77 and Jay Moore from Nebraska who looked good at the senior bowl maybe is that good he's a 70 as well. Anthony Spencer is a 71 as well.

Ah, I forgot and Charles Johnson! I didn't know he scored so well in the agility tests. Carriker looks very solid too. I wonder how well these numbers stand up to Julius Peppers and Mario Williams?

I'm praying that teams pass on Johnson and that he fallls to us at the beginning of round two. Highly unlikely though.

Super Mario was an 85 last year which is really freakish.

Peppers didn't work at the combine so I can't find his numbers.

To make more of an apples to apples thing of DT to DT:

Broderick Bunkley last year was 87.5 (and he's a total freak as well)
John McCargo was a 64
Hlota Ngata was a 78

to compares Okoye to the R1 DT's last year

Also I found Tommie Harris's number as he was a 70 and he came out when he was 20 BTW whihc I'd forgotten.
