I could never be with a guy who was not into sports.

I gotta be honest....I've never actually watched the Wiz of Oz.

I bet he has watched it over 20 times.

We're talking about the Wizard of Oz, not the Pokemon movie.

Yes you could. If you have lots of other interests and he matches up with you on
those, then you might have a tendency to overlook the sports thing. If your
future guy is not a jealous type, he'll let you go to Bucs' game with a male
friend.

My current wife is not into any of my sports. But she loves the paranormal stuff
and the tribute bands and on and on. While sports is a big part of my life, it's not
the only thing. It happens when you get older. I'm 42 at the end of this
month. The importance of sports has lessened as I've gotten older. I
still love it (went to a Mets' party here in LA last night) but I have
other interests that sometimes take priority over the sports.

My wife is willing to go to a sports bar when I watch the Bucs. But
she brings her laptop and Ipod! I'm fine with that.

That is not something neither my wife or I would do, and it has absolutely nothing to do with jealousy or insecurity at all.  :-

Not that big of deal. But I don't get the lollipop kid reference. My voice isn't high at all.

Maybe they amped you up Karen - you know "...make the chick sound a little looney..." Your board mates seem to have your back and - unless your talking about the gators - from what I've read, you seem to know what you're talking about!

If you really want to watch the Wiz od Oz and get a complete understanding of the movie you should get information about the hidden agenda behind the move.  Everything in the stody has symbolism for old goverment some of which is still relavent today.  It is really interesting.

The tin man = industry
The Scare Crow = Farmers
The lion = Middle class
The Wizard = Pres
Yellow Brick road = Gold standard
Witches = Different countries
and there is a lot more

For those looking for an entertaining look at the Wizard of Oz AND Pink Floyd,
check out "Dark Side of the Rainbow." Is it a coincidence? Maybe. But it's
still pretty good.



It's broken up into song but even if you watch it straight through with the music
started at the right spot, the synch will be the same. I'm assuming most have
seen this before.

Then what does it have to do with?

It has to do with the fact that as a married couple my wife and I don't go hangin out seperately with friends of the opposite sex, because it just doesn't look right and is something one might do back in high school or college but not as an adult.

Hmm...she said she met him in college, not that they were only friends in college, and considering she has a kid and was married, I'd say that was likely after meeting the guy.
