Back on topic.  Baseball is back officially in about 2 hours. Cards and Mets tonight at 7 and then everybody else tomorrow.

The Rays opening at Yankee Stadium is pretty cool.  I loved the dress rehearsal game yesterday at the Trop.  Our opening day line up (Minus Upton) against the Mets starters. Our #3 pitcher against their #5 and the Rays laid the wood on the team many say are the best in baseball this year.

When our line up has Elijah Dukes batting 8th and BJ Uptong batting 9th, we have arrived.  That line up is very fast and has a nice mix of speed and power throughout. The defense looks MILES ahead of last year. Iwamura looks like a magician at 3B and Upton provides range that no other 2B in MLB has.  As long as he doesn't air mail his throws, he will be fine.

I can't wait to get this started. 

The best thing about opening day?  Everyone is in first place.

Iwamura is a ballplayer, all those who mocked 'who?' when we got him are about to get a rude awakening.

I saw a funny one on espn where Jeter & ARod ran into each other & turned around & looked at the ball falling behind them.

I was at that game.  It was a weekday afternoon game last summer vs the Tiggers.  We won the game.

It was so obvious it was Jeter's ball.  The SS makes the call and you go with it.  Jeter says I got it, you get the @#$%$ out of his way.
