Firefox solves the problem because no one will pay for popups that don't get clicked. Trust me, firefox rocks and then toss in the Adblock extension and you are so money.

I use IE7, and it doesn't allow pop ups.

I have IE 7 also and have never noticed them, but recently IE 7 says it blocked a Popup and yet the popup comes up as a small window and then goes fullscreen behind PR.

Indeed.  VERY uncool on the popups.  Unfortunately, I can't install firefox here at work.  Yes, that's right.  They don't mind if I visit a site like pewter report, but heaven forbid I install anything.

You probably just don't have admin rights on your local PC, pretty much standard policy on most company networks.

Wow.  I thought my PC was infected with a virus...I have two programs scanning the PC now, I was definitely worried.  I don't feel I should have to change my browser, I like mine just fine, but these pop-ups are friggin lame, and they are making it hard to navigate through the boards.  I hope they find a way to reduce them to a minimum, or at least ask if you would like to see some of their ads.  This is really lame...

Anyhow........ I get a blocked popup pretty much EVERYTIME I click on anything on the site. What gives?

They should have no ads for PI members, IMO at least.

This is strange, I am getting no pop-ups or warnings.  I evened turned all the pop-up blocking off and security setting down and I still don't get anything.
