If JR is there, we HAVE to take him.  It's that simple.  We will (hopefully) not be in this situation again anytime soon where we have a chance to nab a top 5 pick, franchise QB.  The only exception might be if JT is there you take him.  Other than that we have no QB for the future and we may as well grab an elite prospect like Russell if he is there.

The thing about Russell that makes me scratch my head is that if he is so talented and plays at an impact position like QB why would the Raiders pass him up? Calvin is a great player but one would want the no. 1 pick to be able to carry his team. I do not think that  one WR could do that, especially with a below average QB and a bad offensive line. Additionally, the same qualities that make Russell so talented are ones that could serve Detroit and Cleveland well with their QB situations. If Russell were to fall I do not see him making it to no. 4.

I think more realistically the pick would be Thomas or Adams. The Bucs are stocked at the QB position unlaess they plan to cut or trade the excess.

pretty ridiculous, but like some others, i would not mind too much if we got Russell at #4, maybe we can flip him if we don't really want him to someone else, who knows...

I can't say it is bad. The only pick I raised my eyebrow over was Eric Wright.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

Wow i would hate that top 3 if the draft turned out like that, please give me gaines adams over JR, Bowe going as high as he did was a surprise to me and wright in the 1st round was one i questioned also.

I'd rather have Adams,Peterson, or one of the top DL.  Hope we'd trade down in this case.  A.Peterson's the playmaker we need. JR? I don't see it.

Only thing i like about this is that griffin slips out of the first round and i would love to have him in the 2nd round and i agree we would trade down with someone that might covet JR and didn't expect him to get past Oakland and Cleveland.

Wouldn't surprise me too much.  Four players stand out in this draft and they are all gone with the top four picks above.

Flip flop Gaines and Jamaal, and it looks better, IMO.

I would not mind Russell as a Buc.  He isn't in a pro style system is he?  It might take him longer to grasp the offense if he isn't...
