Is bottled water really better than tap?

I have spring water shipped to my house from Maine.  Best purchase me and the old man ever made.  I guess you need to distinguish bottled water from spring water.  Spring water>tap water.  Tap water is repulsive up here in CT.  I'll hold off on the flouride till the next time I see my dentist...

If all clinicians and policymakers read the latest report by the National Research Council, "Fluoride in Drinking Water," released last March 2006, there should be no more questions that fluoride should not be mixed with our water supply.

Because of this report, the American Dental Association issued a warning last November telling parents they should not give fluorinated water to infants under 12 months old. This is the first time that the ADA acknowledged fluoride is not healthy for young children. If fluoride were safe for young children, the ADA would not reverse their 40-year-old policy of giving fluoride to infants.

It really is ridiculous.  There is chemicals in polutants in almost everything nowadays.  If the water from the springs of maine isnt clean, then youll never get clean water.

You can look at a lot of bottled H20 and see it is tap water.

When I lived back east I saw some that the source was Ft. Worth municipal water supply. Now, here I see some from Plant City Fl Muni Water Supply.

That takes balls to just plain flat out open a tap and charge $1.29 a bottle.

A lot depends on the location of the spring, and type plus duration of the filtration.  If the surrounding land isn’t farmed much and it is filtered slowly through linestone, then the water will be extremely pure.  On the other hand if it is smack bang in the middle of a farming area and passes through the ground quickly it could be very polluted water.

You should go to Barbados, all the tap water comes from the springs on the island.  They don’t treat in in any way and it is great drinking water.

Zephyrhills is from a spring.

Huge difference in my opinion.
