That's an impressive turnout for a spring game, especially since it appears you had to buy tickets.

Florida should definitely be a top 5 preseason pick. With Urban Meyer as coach, you guys will always be strong. It will be interesting to see if Tebow and Cam Newton split playing time this year. It sounds like you are in a similar position that Michigan is: having an explosive offense but a questionable defense. Defense wins championships, so if either team plans on making a BCS title game appearance, their defenses will need to gel and NOT be a weakness.

Urban has already said we are going to play 2 QB's this year.  He emphasized that it's Tebow's team, Tebow IS the QB, but he wants to use another QB in situations, like last year.  I'd say right now it is going to be Cam, since he has a leg up on Brantley form the spring, and Waggs the JC transfer has been hurt most of the spring.

I think Cam could be even more dangerous in the "Tebow" role than Tebow last year.

Florida will have a pretty good team, but 10-2 or 11-1 might be stretching it in the SEC. They lost most of that front 7 and their 2 playmakers in the secondary.

The garnet and gold game was today and it seems like neither Lee or Weatherford wants to win the position... The defense was very good(but they always are).

Even with the QBs not playing up to par there are still two things that make me think the offense will be better this season.
1. Antone Smith is the man.
2. The line doesn't look great, but boy does it look better.

I think 10-2 is very realistic for the reg. season, despite the youth.  We get AUburn, Tennessee, and FSU at home, which will help.  The only tough road game is LSU, and MAYBE South Carolina who has played well against us with Spurrier.  I don't see us losing more than 1 of those 3 home games nor more than 1 of the 2 road games against LSU or SC and the neutral game vs. UGA.

The schedule is very favorable for this young team.  Last year's schedule would have been a different story.

I dunno. But if five random kids are doing it I doubt it's a 'fans only' sort of thing, it's basically spring training, you go to get the sport.

I was only there b/c my girl goes to UF and is a ridiculous die hard fan... I root for the Gators but my team always has and always will be Notre Dame. So I'm sure not everyone there were Gators fans... but I'm also sure there wasnt a huge percentage of non fans sweating their ass off to watch a practice.

I read over on GC that lots of people from south of Gville finally gave up on I-75 and turned around to go back home.  There was a terrible wreck around Wildwood that killed 4 people.  We got off the interstate around Bushnell and took the back roads until we got past Wildwood then got back on 75.  We didn't get to the game until the 4th quarter.  Hmmmm, I must be a diehard.   At least I got to listen on the radio..that's when I figured out we could make the game, the heck with turning around!!!
