How in the heck are you going to throw Kazmir out there. Kaz is 23. Beckett is 27 and has been around six years. I would hope his numbers are close to Kaz who had a bloated ERA his first two seasons not to mention pitching as a 21 year old.Oh and give me a choice of Hanley or Beckett, you take Hanley, there aren't nearly as many good SS as 2nd tier SP.
The better question is, how are you a Buc / Sox fan?
You do realize Beckett was ridicously lucky with a low BABIP last year correct? I don't doubt he lowers the HR rate by a few (lot since 36 last year obviously wasn't working) but are we seriously saying he's back after three starts? Kansas City? Seattle? Offensive juggernauts unite!
Hey 2/3 starts against weaker teams.We've had this argument, give him 13-15 starts before we judge a SP.
You know I dislike Juanie boy, and he's always a slow starter, though never like this.
