How in the heck are you going to throw Kazmir out there. Kaz is 23. Beckett is 27 and has been around six years. I would hope his numbers are close to Kaz who had a bloated ERA his first two seasons not to mention pitching as a 21 year old.

Oh and give me a choice of Hanley or Beckett, you take Hanley, there aren't nearly as many good SS as 2nd tier SP.

So Kazmir's numbers are bloated from 2 bad seasons, yet Beckett all of a sudden is second tier or sucks because of 1 bad season?  Make up your mind buddy.  This will be the year Beckett moves back to his palce as a top tier pitcher, an ace, a stud.  He is a very good pitcher, and is showing it.

Look at Beckett and Kazmir at an = pont of their career, and Beckett is even further ahead.  Beckett's numbers are spiked because of the anomaly that was last year.  

Hanley looks to be a fine player, but I'll take Beckett right now.  Beckett can almost single handedly get you a WS;  pitching wins in the playoffs, not 1 SS.  

The better question is, how are you a Buc / Sox fan?

I am a fan of baseball and the game though.  I try and be as unbiased as possible when it comes to players.

You do realize Beckett was ridicously lucky with a low BABIP last year correct? I don't doubt he lowers the HR rate by a few (lot since 36 last year obviously wasn't working) but are we seriously saying he's back after three starts? Kansas City? Seattle? Offensive juggernauts unite!

Well, considering his career high was 16 HR allowed before last years 36, again i throw that out as an anomaly. 

What about Anaheim?  They suck too? 

This is MLB.  Anyoen can beat you any day.  I don't care who it's against, his command and stuff looks great.  That is what matters.  How you look on the mind, how your ballis moving, how you are hitting the spots.  GREAT pitchers, when they do that, it doesn't matter who they face.  They are going to get you out.  He looks like he has IT going again.

Can say that about anyone.  His stuff looks good is all I am saying.  He looks back, whereas last year he looked off.

You bagged Pierre, LaRoche and others yesterday for a slow start, ironic.

You know I dislike Juanie boy, and he's always a slow starter, though never like this.

Actually, Pierre hit about .240 with a .600 OPS the first 2 months last year.  He then hit .283, .345, .304, .323, and .500 the last 5 months with OPS of .733, .876, .770, .727, and 1.000.

No one cares about the Bruins, or hockey. They ruined the sport after the lockout and all the rule changes. As for being a "hockey town" it is far from that now. Much more of a "Patriot town". And yes, the D-Rays have only been around 10 years, but they have done absolutely nothing in those seasons. The Diamondbacks started roughly the same time, and they have much more to show for it. The Rays will always suck, face it.
