I like Chip Caray and Steve Stone a lot, but Dewayne Staats and Joe Magrane along with the 'ray loving' Todd Kalas form one of the better announcing teams I've heard (just really loose, funny, and yet they call a good game, nothing beats Staats doing a call of a Gomes homerun or of CC stealing home)

Gene and Skip/Chip Caray

When you talk about what the college football experience is all about, that's it. Auburn is the epitome.

Lindsey Nelson.

I'm really not that old.  Just started watching the NFL at a very early age.    Lindsey Nelson was oldschool, smooth voice, made the game the center of attention and not himself.   Did 20 years of NFL, on CBS.    He also did much more in other sports, but I remember him for his NFL games in the 60's and early 70's doing Packer and Bear games mostly.

Baseball wise, Chip Carrey is the best in the business IMHO.

As far as baseball goes, it's usually a regional preference.

But as a Dodger fan, I've had the pleasure of listening to silk-voiced Hall of Famer Vin Scully my whole life. I mean, the guy apprenticed under the great Red Barber way back in Brooklyn. He learned from one of the best ever..

For me, there's no one better..

I like Simms and Nance.  Simms watches tons of tape during the season and during the off season. Bill Maas is terrible. Joe Theismann is the worst.  That Sunday night crew he was on was the worst ever. Gannon is good. Dekerhoff is great. So is Wayne Larrave, a radio guy who used to do the Bears and now calls the Packer games. He's great play by play.

Redalert - GREAT ONE! "This is Ke-ith Jack-son...whooooaaaaaaa nellieeee!!

LoL

"..He's a 6 foot-5 strapping young soph-o-more out of San Jose.."

HAHA!  I actually once heard him say this, and I swear I'm not making these up:  "He went after Wine-der like he was a chim-ney."  And "He falls into the line ... but the defense carves him up like Grandpa's old hick-or-eeeey"
