That same market had been bombed on a previous occasion. Some of the people killed were construction workers that were rebuilding the market.

God forbid this same ideas are in place for WW3...

It is not a war, don’t even try and compare it to anything the US has been involved in before.  So in your eyes the intention is to win, correct?  How do we know when we have won….will not happen, not this year, next year or in a decade.

you can compare it to vietnam. not the numbers... but the screw up shouldnt be there, waste of time, government doesnt know what the hell they're doing part.

I think it's pretty obvious how bad things have gotten in Iraq. A good thing was done by
getting rid of Saddam. But with no serious plan to deal with the insurgency and aftermath
from the beginning, how could we expect things to be any different?

Let the civil war take its course and let the country be divided into three. Get the hell
out of there.

RJ, get some glasses and book a flight to Baghdad if you're so gung ho.
