If we put in bidet's in every house, the toilet paper use could go way down. Howard Stern has always been a proponent of only using 2 wipes. Not for any environmental protection, but to reduce the chance of hemorrhoids.
I'm fairly sure that the carbon footprint of the bidet is larger than that of toilet paper. Water is usually warmed (takes energy) and you have the extra water used, plus the plumbing and materials to install the thing in the first place.
I don't pay any attention to these hypocritical hollywood elitists, they are complete scum.
