I never said i had some brilliant playcall, but on 4th and 1 i dont know many coaches that wouldnt run it if they were to go for it. Why pass with a rookie whos struggled at times when you have cadillac and alstott. You are clearly excusing gruden for a terrible playcall.

Grads22, ICIT & Illuminator are family members of Jon's.  You can't hold it against them!  They will always find an excuse for him no matter what, so don't bother trying to reason with them.  Gruden can't handle the pressure period!

Honestly I'm not a Gruden hater but a head coach needs to be responsible for a 2-5 team. Not to mention his play calling has been very very very far from good.

Galloway and Clayton dropped crucial balls in this game that make it at least 14-10 for a  while, but you have to question his 3rd and 5's in both Carolina and New orleans games.. Also add to that this 4th and 1 ..When Alstott can just jump for 1 yards . Like he did last year.. Several times.. [banghead]

I don't mind the fake handoff call on 4th and 1.  Afterall, Caddy couldn't make it on 3rd and 1.  BUT....I don't understand a fake handoff into a 7 to 10 step drop pass play.  Grads can get it with his feet, it would have been nice to see the fake handoff into a bootleg where Grads could either pass or run for it.

I am a total Gruden fan but his playcalling has been erratic.  Going for it on what, 4th and 6 when we had made 3 or 4 first downs the entire game?  PASSING on 4th and 1 with a big drop back?  I'm a girl who is still learning football, but for Christ's sake wtf is that?  We need an offensive coordinator that can call plays when Chucky is too emotional or whatever his problem is.

You're exactly right.  The run game was going nowhere.  And the TE was WIDE OPEN on a post route.  If Grads had seen him, it's 6.  Good call, poor execution.  Seemed to be the theme of the day...
