He'll play defensive tackle here. He's 6'5 286 and will need to learn... but he's explosive.

With the 141st overall pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers used their fifth-round pick to select North Carolina Central DE Greg Peterson.

Drafting defense is good, but let's find some offense this weekend too.

Mike Mayock from NFL Network says he loves this pick, and that this guy fits exactly what we want to do with the "three technic".

He said the guy has an explosive first step and is what Warren Sapp was years and 20+ pounds ago...

We got a DT, now eat it up.

I think they are drafting potential with this one.  Hopefully he will respond well to coaching:

Strengths:
Great size with a solid build...He has the frame to get even bigger...Versatile and could project to multiple positions...Decent speed and moves well...Hard worker and a beast in the weight room...Great overall intangibles...Was very productive.

Ah ok if he's expected to play DT not DE that's much better.

Is it really a need having taken Gaines in the 1st and having Rice, Spires, Carter, Wyms and 2 late picks last year already?

I think Spires will be cut, and Wyms/Carter will rotate at DT.

Mike Maycok just said he loves this guy.  He said he is the perfect player for the Bucs style of D for a 3 technique.  He said he reminds him of Warren Sapp 20 pounds ago.  He had a great first step and has great quickness for an interior lineman.  He loves the pick.  He said he is a great player who went un-noticed because he went to a small school.

I give the scouts a lot of credit for finding this guy.

BTW.  NFL Network's coverage > ESPN.

The guy has been described as "relentless" as a pass rusher. I like relentless.

Think he can play the UT with his size, similar build to Carter.

BTW.  NFL Network's coverage > ESPN.

Sure sounds that way.  I think I'm going to change over now.
