Reported on NFL Access Adam Schefner reported that Minnesota Vikings might release him.  He is a former first round draft pick.

hey let's pick him up.  He can be our slot guy or compete with Clayton for the #2...

Key thing about him is that he is young...

I'd take him if available in free agency.

I would absolutely love to pick him up, he is young and has the one thing we defanitely need more of.... SPEED. If we land him and can get him back on track and get him learning from JoeyG he could be a helluva pick up and a possible future replacment for JoeyG

I heard this too.  They said that his time is running out with the Vikings.  The Vikings will give him another year and if he doesn't preform up to his capabilities, he will most likely be cut.  The problem he has is ball security and catching the football.  If he does get cut, the Bucs should bring him in and see what they can get out of him.  I wouldn't mind us signing Williamson.

His problem is that he can't catch.  If we can't help Clayton with that, why should we be able to help Williamson?

If he can return kicks or punts...bring the guy in...I don't care if he sucks as a WR...so does Jones...but he also sucks as our return guy. The bottom line is Williamson is scary fast and would hopefully boost our return game. With that being said, he has never done punt returning in the NFL...only kickoffs. Either way, it's worth a try to bring him in. Worst case, he gets cut.

Whoa...shiver me ****in timbers!

That's exactly it LeeRoy. Guy is fast as blazes but has stone hands. Had him on my fantasy team and he was awful! Still I'd bring him in for a burner on go routes just to keep the D honest.

I could see this bust coming from a mile away. The funny thing is people were suprised the Vikes passed on Mike Williams that year

Actually I dont think Williamson is a complete bust. He has talent, but after 3-4 solid games he suddenly got a case of the dropsies. Id definitely give him a chance. BUt how could his time be urnni gout in Minny when he is just about to enter his 3rd seaosn? That is ridiculous to give up on a 7th overall pick that fast, especially considering that he has been half way decent
