Have we totally given up on the fullback position? I never see the jumbo package anymore. Why not sprinkle Alstott in once and awhile? Maybe he can pick up those third and ones.

He has proven this season he is washed up and is not going to be converting those shorts runs anymore.

We need a new fullback before we use that position. He doesn't do anything with the ball when he gets it.

I like Mike. He should have retired after last season. He doesn't have that "pop" he used to have. I remember the days when a handoff to Alstott on 3-and-1 was a sure thing whether he had a block or not. Now...

BTW: Go back and watch the tape of yesterday's game. Pittman out-blocked our starting FB.

Why is Sowell not activated?

Because Alstott is.

We need to draft Brian Leonard in the 2nd round........great blocker, brutal rusher and soft hands.

Well, we should have used him on one of those 4th downs yesterday.  But I guess Gruden forgot about that play.

Everytime they have use Alstott this year he has been hit in the backfield, he is done.

That's not true.  He had that pounding TD.

I agree with you.  You just said that he had been stopped on every play when that's untrue.  I agree with you that his career is over but he is a legend in the Bay.

Over the past two seasons, Alstott is 4 of 9 on 3rd and 1.

This doesn't seem to be a popular opinion, but I agree.   We should work Alstott into some game plans.

Like maybe yesterday's game? He never touched once.
