Who do you think will be the Bucs QB in 2008?

It sounds like Garcia has the inside track this year and he defenitely has the potential to give this offense a shot in the arm, but at 37 years old he could well wear down if he is the starter for an extended period of time, and it is hard to imagine him starting for two years in a row.

Simms will have to show better field and pocket awareness and make better use of his arm strength and his mobility. The potential is definitely there, and I don't by the fact that he is not Gruden's type of QB. It is just a lot of other QB's can do a lot more with a lot less physical talent, so if Simms can improve his mental game I definitely think he has a chance to entrench himself as the starter by 2008.

Another interesting possiblity would be D. McNabb with the heat he is under in Philladelphia. If Philly was to somehow decide to go another direction then I would bet on him re-uniting with his Senior Bowl coach.

Someone else I'll throw out there.... Michael Vick..... Nah, nevermind.

Non-issue. Way to early to even begin to guess that.

TBD - not sure that player is even on the roster this year.  Not really counting Garcia past this year [yet].  I still think Simms deal is more of a series of 1 year contracts and not sure what happens after this year.  McCown? Gradkowski?  not sure they are anything more than 2nd/3rd string [at this point in time], but who knows how each have developed during the offseason and will over the course of this next season, although one of them will likely be a gonner once we get down to final cuts [IMO thats most likely McCown as the gonner].

still too early to tell, but my guess is that Simms starts out as QB and its his job to lose whether its training camp or during the season. If he loses the job at all.

It's never to early to think about this team finally getting a franchise QB.

With the money being "thorwn" at Garcia and SImms feet, does it really matter who starts?  The best man wins.  If one of them flames out, you insert the other.  Big deal.

I once heard Sapp say "potential" means "you haven't done sh*t" and i whole-heartedly agree. Simms has had 4 yrs to show what he's got and he's failed miserably.

My prediction: Jake "the snake"

Plummer. It still wouldn't surprise me if he's the QB in '07

Happy and Peppy and Bursting with love.

well i did a madden franchise with updated rosters.  In the 2006 season, Garcia started and our Bucs went 10-6 behind the 11-5 Saints in the division.

In the off-season Garcia retired, and I decided to add Jake Plummer.  Yep, you heard it..."Jake Plummer after a year off, comes back into the league"

Plummer will be our QB in 2008 and we will get to the Super Bowl.  We will lose it however...
 ;)

atleast thats what my madden franchise suggested(Funny that I had the exact roster and no crazy additions like Owens or anything)
