By `08 Grads will be a 3 year vet, and possibly been tutored by Garcia for a season. Obviously its too damn early to think about `08, but if Gruden`s still here it wouldnt shock me to see Bruce Gradkowski as the starter. Either him or a Free agent??

Grads, based on his play last season, has so far to go as a QB in the NFL that it's tough to imagine him being a successful starter in the NFL over the next couple of years. This is not like a guy like Alex Smith coming in as a high draft pick and possessing the basic skill set to improve dramatically. I think there's still much debate as to whether Grads has the basic skill set beyond being a backup.

Happy and Peppy and Bursting with love.

Im hopeing we go into the 08 draft with our minds set on Colt Brennon from Hawii

Anyone who thinks Tim Tebow will be a great NFL QB is an idiot.

Some FA, just as in Oakland, some relatively obscure journeyman QB will "breakout" after moving through 2 or 3 teams ala Gannon. Maybe Carr get a chance to throw from an upright and standing position for a change.

Bruce Gradkowski, prompting all the Gruden haters to slit their wrists.

And that relatively obscure journeyman who comes in and breaks out... Sage (against the machine) Rosenfels.  You heard it here first.

I think Garcia has more than one year left in him. Simms sucks, I liked Gradkowski better than Simms. If Garcia doesn't make it to 08', I'd give it to Grad.

Actually, Simms might be better off, career wise, if Garcia get the start Day1.  Garcia will probably get hurt at some point in the season, if Simms comes in off the bench and does well (like 05) he'll be more respected as "coming to the rescue guy" than if he starts day 1 with a short, short ,short, leash.  If he starts day 1, then is pulled early in the season, he is done in Tampa.

Grads is official clipboard guy this year.  Gruden likes him but realizes last year was about 3 years too soon.

no way its Gradkowski.  I can see Gradkowski being the #2 next year and maybe eventually starting, but the kid is just 23 years old and was thrown in there too soon..

I honestly think it will be Jake Plummer.  Plummer, who didn't officially retire, may even come back this year and I'd welcome it as Garcia, Plummer, and Simms would be one hell of a trio fighting for that starting gig.  He would owe the BUcs over 5 million if he doesnt report......and 5 mil may be a little too much for Plummer....

Who knows..

Don't you think we should at least wait until camp starts and see who the contestants are before we pick a winner?

Well Garcia will take us to the Superbowl and then we will dump him for Brett Favre.  You asked.

I think it's going to be Simms for the next 5 years.   Simms is da man!
