I remember that hit on Reggie Brown. It was as cheap as they come.

Dolorus Jason on a ban bet with me over the BCS Championship: \"You have your bet. I ain\'t scurred.\"- 12/8 \"Youre being banned from your own stupidity. Enjoy.\"-12/8 \"Prepare for your ban .\" -12/9 \"Miyagi gonna be banned.\"-12/9 \"Best bet I ever made ...\"-12/9 \"Miyagi mad , gettin banned.\"-12/9\"You mIght need a break from the board. Our bet should help you do just that.\"-12/10 11:38 AM

The greatest hit in football, second to NONE, was the hit Ray Lewis put on Keith Burns on Chris McAllister's return of a missed fg.  If anyone can find it, its well worth the look.

Scott Brantley's head-knocker on Eric Hipple has got to be one of the greatest all-time!
No matter what he says, Steve Smith still has got to be feeling that hit from Will Allen.

I'll take Dwight Smiths hit on Amani Toomer and the hit from John Lynch on his Brother in-law.

Brantley's hit was PERFECT

Forgot about Lynch knocking out his brother-in-law. That was a good one too. Remember watching that game when it happened.

Anyone happen to watch Real Sports on HBO this past week (at least here in Europe). They did a story on the long term consequences of  hard hits to the head. Talked to Ted Johnson, talked about the late Andre Waters, and showed a few hitters from 1960-70s who are now practically brain dead in nursing homes, even at the age of 50s.  Concussion syndrome will be something Roger Goodell will also have to address as a new commish. Allowing players to return to games after having a brain-jarring, neuron damaging head trauma (as evidenced by statements like "where am I?" by the player) need not be allowed back into the game regardless of what's on the line.

I don't think I'll appreciate those "slobber knockers" as I used to - or those "He Got Jacked Up" hightlights on ESPN anymore.

Sorry about putting a damper on thread.

I think after whats his named commited suicide, the nfl is taking concusions more seriously,  but after having a few myself im still ok, I still know 2+2=7 and things like that, I dont think its that big of a deal.
