With all the talk about our “offensive weaponsâ€� over the summer and having a genius making the play calls, I was kind of hoping for a few more ppg.  Not only is the D in need of a major overall, it also appears the O is still a work in progress.

"Appears"? What did you expect? Three rookies starting. I believe the Bucs have the youngest offense (average age of players) in the league.

Galloway is coming to the end of his career; Clayton is not far off being a bust; Hilliard isn’t getting younger; we have O-line problems at LT, C and maybe LG; and finally we need RB/FB depth for next year.

Being young is a convenient excuse right now, but there are other problems on the horizon once the inexperienced players get a few games under their belts.

I think the points difference at the end of the season is a good indication of how much work/improvement a team needs to turn things around.  While losing in 2004 we had a good points difference, so we didn’t need to do much to turn things around in 2005.  Last year for a winning team the points difference was poor, so the odds of a losing season this year were fairly high, unless they made major improvements, which they didn’t.

This season we are going to have a losing season, and if things continue we will have a really bad points difference.  That points towards us being a pretty bad team in the mould of the Raiders and 49ers…..not a promising thought.

never is, but if we had the defense we had in 02, then we could do it all over again, now times have changed, things are completely different since then, those days are gone and now i want to look forward to the 07-08 season, lets play some young guys, get them some real time speed games and see what they can do, there is no chance we will make the playoffs even though some will say i am giving up, i am not, i jsut want ot lookk towards the future and see this team successful again
