Did any of you expect any better from him? I hoped, but am not surprised by the remarks.

Oh please, you're all a bunch of frauds. None of you really give a damn. Your day will go on tomorrow as if nothing happened to this guy. At least I'm not a Hypocrite and admitting as much. Like I said, too bad for the guy, but my days will go on. If I got hit by a truck tomorrow, Hill's family wouldn't be giving me a second thought. What a bunch of frauds I'm surrounded by.

BTW, this coming from the slob who has nothing nice to say about Chris Simms. He almost died last season, and you didn't have one feeling about it but hate toward the kid.

You are really, really, really, really, REALLY missing the point here.

He/she always misses the point. :D

You make me sick. This man just died saving the life of another woman in his company, yet all one of you can care to think about is the fact he wasnt wearing a life jacket.

A woman whose life he endangered to begin with by taking her out on the water without a life jacket. Whether it be jet ski or cruise liner, the captain is responsible for the lives of those aboard.

So as not to arouse the righteous indignation of Abuccs, I'm not going to pretend that I care any more about this man than I do about the tens of thousands of other human beings that died yesterday. He's right, it's pretty hypocritical.

"Life does not cease to be humorous when someone dies, any more than it ceases to be serious when someone laughs".

I haven't seen any indication that the young lady was a minor.  She should be responsible for herself.  And you don't have to lose sleep over the man's death, but you don't have to make derogatory comments either.

Sorry, about the guy, but couldn't happen to a better team.

what a truly insensitive remark.

what respect i had for you is now gone.

LOL...I don't know you. I don't require or desire any respect from you.

good thing you dont.

how can you say something like that?
Im ashamed youre a buc fan.

and for the record some people do care....you dont..thats cool..but dont make crap statements like that.

not only was  your comment insensitive...which you probably know...but your follow up was pretty bad too...calling us frauds for caring about the situation... thats just wrong man...but hey better directed at us than someone who did loose someone close to them.

like i said...i have NO respect for someone who says something like that and then to make it worse starts going after people who DO have some humanity left.

have a good life.

He/she can attack me all day long as long as he/she does not attack Marquise Hill.  RIP Marquise Hill.

Hypocritical? How is this hypocritical? Do you and ABuccsfan honestly not see the difference between concerning yourselves with the deaths of others and doing what you're doing? I can be honest and say that I do not say a prayer or comment for every person that dies each day. THats one thing. But if all you wanted to do was maintain your right to not express any emotion - thats pretty simple - DON'T POST ANYTHING.

But no, thats not enough. Instead what you two do is say "Look at me - I don't care about someone else's death." Thats a completely different level. If you can't see the difference between not caring that some person has died (due to lack of knowledge or whatever) and showing up to said person's memorial to say "I don't know you so I don't care that you are dead" - there is something seriously wrong with you.

PS. RIP Marquise Hill.

Yep, and it's not like ABuccs is a bad guy, he didn't say he didn't care, just that there is new use for him to act like he's praying for the guy's family when he's not, he didn't give a PC response, he was honest, I can respect that.

I disagree.  I think both are wrong.  And I am not talking about being politicaly correct  nor this is about moral relativism.

You do not need to know the person to understand what death means. You three youngsters (MBF, Illuminator, and Abuccs) have a lot to learn.

Look, it's sad what happened to him, but you're right. I don't know him. So I won't lose sleep over this.

I did not lose sleep when I lost a family member recently.  That does not mean I do not care.

What is missed in all this isn't the "don't know him don't care" angle since millions die each day and none of us blink over most of them. What is bad is the cavalier attitude that he's dead and good news it happened to the Pats....as if there is somehow a good side to thing young man losing his life. That is the objectionable aspect of Abuccs initial quote.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

Note the spin: The initial response was "It couldn't happen to a better team". Meaning if someone dies, good thing it was a Patriots player.

After this stupid and insensitive comment it was followed up with a 'Well I dont know the guy, so why should I care'.

The problem isn't that you DONT care Abuccs....sadly you did, you cared that it was a human being who played football for the New England Patriots that lost their life as opposed someone who played football for the Cleveland Browns etc.

It's not ignorance its misanthropic.
