It could have been worse. A-Rod could have said "I'm gonna kill you dawg" or is it dog?
It's "You dead, dawg."

That was a genius play. If a Red Sox's player or  player from a more liked team did this people would call him creative or a scrappy player doing anything to win.

Everybody should just embrace AROD, he's gonna be the all time Homerun King by the time he retires, if he keeps up his current production. Who would you rather have as the HR King Bonds or AROD??

Yelling is one thing, but saying "I got it" is basically impersonating a teammate.  You are acting as if you are on the opposing team.  That's crossing the line to me.

There's no crying in baseball!

Everyone should quit whining. NFL defenses try to get the offense to jump offsides all the time, and IM sure if they didnt make a rule for it they would be doing it a lot more

NFL players gouge eyes and twist nuts at the bottom of piles, no one has week long discussions about that

As long as a guy isnt cheating, or breaking the rules, there is no problem. You can call it cheap, but call it what you want and get over it. No reason to talkabout it for 3 weeks like a bunch of females.

"He may have been excited about the fact that we were leading the ballgame," Torre said Friday before his team's series opener at Boston. "It was probably inappropriate to do it at the time he did it, but you can't change it, unfortunately."

So it's ok to yell in other sports to make your opponent mess up, but not ok in sissy baseball??  :-

In the NFL, it is against the rules for the defense to interfere with the snap count. That would be the closest analogy to what happened here.

Yeah but when a pass is in the air you can hear db's screaming stuff at the recievers on occasion.

I can't believe this is getting so much attention. What A-Rod did is bad, yet its "accepted" for a pitcher to throw at a guy's head? What a sissy sport.

But that rule is never inforced

It's getting so much attention because people love to hate A Rod. Including me.
It's fun!

And also fun to see the $28 million, prorated Clemens have to miss his first
start due to groinage.

Sissy sport?  Did you see
 Lowell take out Cano?
