Apparently, in Billy Donovan's world, the grass isn't greener in the NBA. According to sources, Donovan -- who on Thursday signed a five-year, $27.5 million contract with Orlando -- has approached the Magic about getting out of the deal and returning to the University of Florida, where he coached the Gators to the last two national championships. The decision, according to the sources, rests with the Magic.

Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley flew to Richmond, Va., on Saturday to meet with Donovan's former assistant, VCU head coach Anthony Grant, about the opening. But multiple sources confirmed that the plane was on the ground for less than an hour. Foley left without Grant aboard.

Looks like BD made a cell phone call and told Foley, "Take off. I want to stay."

I understand Magic fans being disappointed but he really didn't hurt your franchise except for other coaches being off the market between when he took the job and now. But it's not like he traded Dwight Howard and then left. Calm down.
