Logical choice says Simms but if the season is lost I would love to see him play again to try and see how he does . Would help us decide on him for next year. With the addition of Buchanan Jones is more expendable.

I read that Simms got a 2nd opinon and could come back for week 16 thus solidifying his sopt on IR

It's not a matter of whether we want him to play or whether he wants to play.  It's a matter of whether he can physically play, and the doctors say no.

What purpose would that serve?  If Gruden and Hackett don't know what they have with Simms by now, I can't see how a game or two coming off a major injury would help them decide anything.

Simms could be back for a couple weeks, so its really the Bucs who have to decide if that is important enough to use a roster spot for him.

I would hope Simms gets put on IR and Jones gets cut as soon as possible so we have a spot open to take a look at another player.
