Once again, they have no idea how to draft or make deals. IMO no other teams want to deal with them. Going back to cutting, not trading, Lynch and Sapp and now Rice. These are players with huge value. Even when injured. Lynch reportedly failed his physical too but he was kicking butt in a Bronco uniform come opening day. Now Rice is going to do the same for at least five more years in another uniform. He's the best pass rushing defensive end in the league and you just release him??? Stupid. We could have at least got something for him on draft day. It's time for Gruden and Allen to be released. They've done nothing but F up our team for the last five years and get rid of anybody who is a fan favorite. Our defense is going to now create absolutely no pressure on the QB just like last year and our Tampa 2 is going to look like the Tampa Poo again. I'm tired of this crap. We need somebody else in here. Pay Lovie Smith whatever he's asking to come in here and take over. Bring in a GM that knows that you don't bring in Jeff Garcia and act like he's going to save the world. Fire Jon Gruden and Bruce Allen. I've been saying it for three years. It's about time the rest of you get on board!

From 12 Pro Bowlers to 0-We got hosed alright

Hey, mjs, why don't you ask him how much he thinks we could have gotten in a trade for Sapp, when we didn't even have him under contract.

Just for future reference.  Sapp was a free agent so he had zero "trade" value to us.

The best pass rushing DE in the league??? Maybe 5 years ago. No one wants to trade for a 33 year old injured player with a $10 million cap charge, and is in the last year of his contract.

I would have liked to hear those negotiations:

"How much would you be willing to give us for an injured player, that we can't legally trade to you since he's injured, who is going to count seven million dollars against your salary cap while he continues his rehab? How much would that be worth to you?"

Nobody had more sacks from 2002-2005. It would've been smart to at least let him play out his contract year to see what he had left. Chukwhateva is no Rice...
