If Chris Hovan played for the Falcons, would you expect Joseph to be able to handle him?

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

Everything I've ever seen or heard about Joseph tells me that unless something strange happens, he'll be among the very best OG's in the league.

However, 1 good one and 4 poor ones isn't a very good line.

Trueblood and Sears you'd have to say are above poor Java...so, 1 Probowler, 2 solid starters, 2 poor players.

From what I've read, Trueblood is struggling so far in TC.   Is Sears even healthy yet?

Jury is out on Trueblood........he is looking more like average on a good day, and Yatta like most of the time.

I'd expect Hovan to suck up the double team as often as not.

From what's being written this TC the whole team blows chunks. It's actually kind of amazing that one can be compare to the other and both end up svcking?  How does that happen?

Either Adams svcks, is getting blown out every play and therefore the olinemen against him are looking good or it's a draw or its the other way around, but it's hard to have everyone just svcking when it's no more then a comparison.

True played pretty damn good last year, he can only get better. As long as he improves his pad-level dude is going to be a monster. Sears is getting healthy, guess I'm much more optimistic about the OL with 3 really good prospects. Luke is the key, if he can stay healthy, which I doubt, this line will be above average.

Remember, this offense won't have to deal with Simms slow, deliberate release. It's going to look like a different offense this year with Garcia, much faster pace with quicker decisions being made. I can't wait.

My brother attends training camp every year.    He says they especially suck this year.

Quote
NT: Casey Hampton, John Henderson, Vince Wilfork, Jamal Williams, and Pat Williams

I deciced to do a comparsion of those DT's versus Hovan from the 2006 season.

Pat Williams

Tackles:.........44
Sacks:...........1
Fumble Rec:..0

Casey Hampton

Tackles:..........40
Sacks:............0
Fumble Rec:...0

John Henderson

Tackles:.........51
Sacks:...........3.5
Fumble Rec:...0

Vince Wilfork

Tackles:.........50
Sacks:...........1
Fumble Rec:....1

Jamal Williams

Tackles:..........69
Sacks:............2
Fumble Rec:.....0

Chris Hovan

Tackles:..............51
Sacks:................2
Fumble Rec:........1

Based on this information what makes Chris Hovan tier two?  And what makes all of these other DT's (other than Jamal Williams) tier one? ???

Yeah, they won't win a single game this year. 0-16 in the books.

Didn't the team look great last training camp with Simms absolutely tearing things up?  Maybe this means that we're going to have an awesome team this season.

:p

Damn.   Then my prediction for the season will be off by 16.   That sucks.

We were obviously watching a different tape.  He was shaky to say the least but he was a rookie.  Hopefully he will get better this year.
