Peyton Manning.

We already have a top notch D, so adding guys like Merriman and Urlacher wouldn't do much.  I mean sure we won it all in 2002, but how many years before that did we have a stalwart defense and couldnt accomplish anything on offense.

If we had Peyton Manning, our offensive weapons would literally have career years.  You would see Galloway, and maybe even two other WRs have over 1000 yards.  Caddy would have an awesome year and our offense would definetly be in the top 10.

Some say Brady.  He would certainly make our team better, but I think Peyton is better, as far as talent goes.

Remember, I'm not talking about rings, seeing that it's a team sport and even the likes of Trent Dilfer have rings.

Manning(Peyton not Eli) could make Houston look good, Oakland look serious, and Tampa look at a second trophy.

I don't have a name but I'd be looking for the best young LT.  Not really sure who the younger guys would be.

You have to go with a QB like Manning or Brady, teams that win SB's with a good defense and an average QB's are one hit wonders, like Us, Ravens, and the Steelers (who had a little help from the ref's IMO).

Brady I can see, but he's led a very balanced team that included better than just a "good" defense.

But last I checked, Manning was still a one hit wonder. The reason the Colts got over the hump last year is more attributed to that defense playing lights out during the playoffs. Much better than they played all season. Unless they can sustain that level, and that's unlikely IMO, Manning will remain a one hit wonder..

Not saying Payton or Brady wouldn't make this offense better, that's a no brainer, but unless the defense is playing at a high level, it's just not enough..

Peppers would change the entire dynamic of the defense. With pressure again being consistent fron the DL, and Peppers would give us that, we'd be right back with the upper echelon of defenses..

If you have a great qb like Manning or Brady you are a threat to win any game.  And if you have a decent talent level on the rest of your squad you are a threat to win every game.

Give us Manning since 1999 = 5 Super Bowl trophey's.

1999
2001
2002
2005
2006

If this was so, Brady would have two ('03 '04) trophey's
