BTW, just to ask this question:

Did Ruud play in the first pre-season game? I see him with 1 tackle in pre-season and that was the JAX game but nothing in the NE game.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

Ruud was held out of the first pre season game due to an injury.

They moved fast, I wanted to see if it was being dilligent or being desperate.

Well we all thought that the LB depth was one of the strengths of this team.  Bringing in Trotter does not exactly exude confidence in the unit.

Well the reason I went and looked Ruud up was that I didn't recall seeing him play in either game to be honest. I'm not sure how long he played vs JAX.

Well, our 1st string defense played well, albeit limited in action

The depth isn't at middle linebacker, use your head a little.

Well, maybe he can play UT dal, LOL

I don't get this move.  Philly let him go bc he lost his speed, and now he can play with the buccs? Diligent to dalliance?

And note to escobar - you could have stopped at the comma to avoid sounding like a butt.  Just sayin'

That depends.  Do you feel Winborn, Black, June, and Brooks are incapable of playing mike?

This year-definitely not Black. Too big a dropoff.

Don't know about other three, but I thought their skills were on the outside.

Of course. And I have read nowhere that the Bucs ever planned on playing any of those players at the position. When moving Nece over to compete as a backup is the plan, clearly we had no depth at the position and means nothing regarding the confidence of our staff in the LB unit as a whole.

What is wrong with having the guy in for a visit...

I agree Stulaake.  They would be amiss if they didn't explore all possibilities.
