Clayton has to give it up. No not playing football. He has to give everything else up. When Clayton is on that field he has to give everything else up his pride, his body, and his sole. Thats how he played his rookie year. He was in the zone and nothing else mattered to him but what he was doing in that moment ( aka giving it up). Clayton problem there is just to much of himself in his head. Too much of his looks, his image, having laughs, being buddies with his team mates, hanging out, kicken back, talking to the press, and being a star. I say sit his back side on the bench with out him having an excuse like he is injured. Put him on the bench for not being good enough. Wake him up and turn him into a nobody. Deactivate him for 2-4 games then put him as a gunner on special teams. Make him have to earn it all back again. Then I think you will see Clayton be good again. Thats the problem if you cut him he will get that reality check and come back with another team
