Luke McCown   # 21-30   70.0  5 SACKS    1TD

Grads #   23-38   60.5   0 SACKS   3TD

The sack will kill you  Grads did play 3rd string players put still  0 sacks  to 5 sacks for McCown?????

Gradkowski, due to his experience

I think Gradkowski will be the 2nd QB on game days but if Garcia goes down McCown will be the starter.

I agree with this assessment.  McCown is a sack magnet right now, so you can't really project him as a viable #2.  In a real game, they will bring the casino package and that will be that for the Bucs.

Grads is the clear #2 because he has experience and will limit the mistakes.

Neither is our QB of the future.

Just watching them play McCown looks like twice the player Grads is.  McCown has the better physical skills, and but for holding the ball a too long on occassion, seems to make the plays much more naturally and with much better poise.  Big edge to McCown -
Living in northern Ohio in 2004, I saw absolutely no evidence that Luke McCown is anything other than a waste of a jersey number. I've seen no evidence since then to change my opinion.

Gradkowski put up better numbers last year with an arguably worse team than the Cleveland one Luke played with in '04.

I'll take Grads 10 days out of 10.

Ouch, well having seen Grads play, He's not 2nd string material either....  Bucs should have brought more QBs to training camp.

I vote Luke because of lack of evidence that he svcks.

Gradkowski will be the better QB in the long run!!!  He needs some work on his longball but I think he has what it take to be a good QB for this team. Luke looks like Doug Johnson to me the sack man.

I have more hope for Mcnown.  Far as I can tell Grads has all the issues Mcnown has and he can't throw the ball.

Ah well... maybe they'll both be great, that'd be a nice issue to have.

Is this a good time to bring back up the Greez?   I know he can't beat out Rex for the starting job..... nvrmd.

Either McCown or Grads could start for this offense in a couple of seasons.  Personally, McCown can make all the throws, but when it's 3:02 left in the4th quarter and we're down by a touchdown, I'd rather have Grads out there.  He seems to really be able to rally a comeback.

Oh man Rat faced boy doesn't even get the "good" tag?  How many pro-bowls are required?  Or is it just a "now" thing?

Who's taking bets on games before injury prevents starting the next game?

Its been a while since he played a full season and made a probowl.  Good QBs don't bounce from team to team every summer for 4 years.  He is an average QB that happens to fit the WCO well.  Best case scenario is he has a good year and wins a few games for us.

This was the same type of thing Raider fans were saying when they signed Gannon.

I'd have to disagree
