Interesting PFT Rumor -

PASS-CATCHERS AVAILABLE FOR PEANUTS

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that a trio of Florida receivers are available to any interested takers.

Specifically Reggie Williams of the Jaguars, Michael Clayton of the Bucs, and Chris Chambers of the Dolphins are on the block.

But Schefter says that no serious talks have occurred regarding any of the three, which means that all three of them are in danger of being released on or before Saturday.  Chambers, a second-round pick in 2001, has been the best of the three.  Clayton and Williams were first-round picks in 2004.  Williams was the No. 9 overall pick; Clayton was No. 15.

I love this team, and would cheer them even if Leeman Bennett was coaching Alvin Harper and Eric Curry.

Could have been a serious possibility if Saban was still there.

I can't beleive that Chris Chambers is on the trading block.  He was one of the best WRs in 2005.  I would trade a 3rd or 4th easily for Chambers.  I wonder if we can deal Clayton and a 5th or 6th to the Dolphins for Chambers.  That would be a great trade.  If Chambers is released, I would sign him in a heartbeat.  He was a Pro Bowler in '05.  I wonder what happened since that made him expendable with the Dolphins.  I picked Chris Chambers for my fantasy team this year. :P

I can't think of any WR's I wouldn't trade Clayton straight up for.  Including Larry Brackins.

Eh, I want to give Clayton one more chance, but if we can get Chambers by trading him and a pick I would be happy. I don't want Clayton to get released. If we are going to get rid of him, I want something in return.

According to that link, it says that Chambers will likely be starting for the Dolphins on opening the day and Clayton will likely be starting for the Bucs on opening day.

I don't hate the guy.   I do think the money went to his head though.   How else can you explain him having such great success his first season, then after he's had an offseason with some money, he is never the same again.
