More than likely there is more to this story.

Having watched the video I think the cops handled the situation pretty well.

Kid got what he deserved.

He should have just listened.  It isn't like they wouldn't have just escorted him away peacefully...just listen to the man in blue, walk away, avoid taser.  Pretty simple process.

I am suprised they did not taser him earlier.

Universities teach kids constantly these days about free speech and questioning authority and then they are surprised when a student does this sort of thing? The school is being a bit hypocritical there. There is now a protest being planned at the campus.

And certainly some training issues with the police. The situation could have been resolved much more peacefully.

Where the police are going to have a problem is apparently they tasered the guy after he was in handcuffs.

They should have tasered him as soon as he mentioned skull and bones.

They turned off the mic as soon as he mentioned "Skull and Bones".. The conspiracy theorists are going to go wild with this clip....

I won't argue the resisting part. Obviously, he did resist. But the way I see it, he was about to walk away or listen to Kerry answer his questions.

That guy didn't strike me as someone who wanted to do any listening at all. If I heard correctly, Kerry tried to respond several times but the kid wouldn't shut up .... He came across as a bit off and the cops did absolutely the right thing .... to me, anyway.

Even in cuffs, if he's still thrashing around, he's risking injury to the cops and to himself ....

LOL about the S&B joke, but that brings up another point.

Exactly why is it necessary to physically engage someone when all that has happened is that someone feels insulted by the words or questions he was asking or that he was perhaps using up too much time? Whatever it may have been, it was still mere words.

i've seen another clip of this event which shows one of the cops telling him that he was trying to incite a riot...HA!...If that ain't through the looking glass, I don't know what is. Police initiated a physical altercation, and he's supposed to be the one inciting a riot? Absurd.

I'll go a step further and say I wouldn't be at all surprised that this was some sort of set-up by the student to prove a point about taser abuse by law enforcement. If there was ever an example of complete over reaction this a freakin' text book case.

Well, unless the audio op. was a NWO lackey, I doubt you'll hear that angle.

Why is it necessary? Hey, he was upsetting the people there who had come for some good, clean,
fun. How dare he upset those folks! How dare he ramble on a little bit! How dare he ask what some
thought were stupid questions! He should have asked the approved questions and acted in a manner
that everybody else was comfortable with. And mentioning the BJ word? Oh my! Taser time.

Point well made , Joe. Sadly that appears to be at the core of it.

Well I suppose some of those cops may be liberals, but what would that have to do with anything? And why would you call them filthy, they looked clean to me.
