Okay, maybe the people who wanted us to draft Hester should have been listened to.

if anybody should know, it should be the giants that you have no business kicking a 52 yarder in that wind.. just punt it trap the bears down there and get a three and out.. that was just dumb

Drafting a "gifted" ST player is a crapshoot.  Drafting anybody is a crapshoot.

Look at how Eli played tonight, and tell me that you would have drafted Hester over Eli....

It was just an uncharacteristically dumb move on Coughlins part to kick a FG in that wind.  I have been in that stadium, and the direction he was kicking in means wind right in face.  And then it swirls near the posts.

Good play by Hester.  Bad call by Coughlin.

I agree it was dumb.  But Hester is showing that it's not a bad idea to use a solid draft pick for an explosive ST playmaker, even if they don't immediately participate in non-ST play.  All these 7th rounders we use on Jones, Phinissee, etc. aren't doing us any good.

Game turned when the Giants D allowed a draw play to get a first down on 3rd and 22 right before the half for the Bears. Then Sam Madison gets toasted (injured or not didn't look like it would have mattered) for a TD pass and suddenly, Bears are down only 3 after getting dominated in the first half.
Giants without 5 starters which obviously hurts you. Still should have seen on tape that the Bears will return a FG from time to time. No business trying that field goal from that distance in that stadium.
