Grads was no worse than Simms in 50% of his games, and he was a third year player.  Grads might not be the answer, but in Gruden's O Simms is definitely not the answer.

Everyone needs to settle down. Go eat a piece of pie and watch the night game. Grads is going to be a good QB. He's a rookie! Compare him to other rookies and he is well ahead of the curve. If you try and compare him to a veteran then that's not fair. If we go by some of you alls logic no rookie QB other than Marino and Roethlisberger would ever be with their original teams, because they all struggled in their rookie seasons. He has a lot to work on, but Grudens offense is not easy and he hasn't even been working in it for a year yet. It will all come together for him next year and we'll be fine. We should be a lot more worried about that defense than our QB.

Simms is gone from Tampa unless Gruden is terminated.

he just doesn't fit the offense and everyone will admit he's a very slow starter.  Gruden just can't go into what could be his final season with Simms at QB.

Trade is impossible.  Most likely he's a FA signing for someone as a backup and might get a chance at the starting job.  Houston maybe?

You don't think Gruden is beginning to wonder if Grads is helping him keep his job?

No doubt now he is.  Contrast Gruden's reaction after his first TD throw in NO (I've never seen Gruden that giddy since the SB win) to his reaction after Bruce missed a wide open Galloway for a TD.

Gruden is the best mind there is at getting a QB to perform but physical defects he can't correct.  That is beyond his control and perhaps he is slowly realizing Bruce's arm strength was an issue that explains his low draft interest.

I think Gruden is a little smarter than that Karen.  Grads missed a couple of deep balls, but he was under pressure and they weren't easy passes.  So a guy with more experience and stronger arm might have made one of those passes, IF they had made the read.  So Grads cost is a TD........but he made the TD we scored with a third down scramble when the O-line collapsed.......swings and roundabouts.   ;)

Here is an idea fire Gruden and keep Simms, that way he would fit our system. A good coach can make any QB fit his system, Gruden goes through garbage and waste season after season looking for the QB to fit his system instead of making his system fit a good QB. # step drops and dink and dunk don't work and the WCO is dying a slow death.

There is no proof that Simms is a good QB. He has had as many bad games as good ones and he wasn't that good in college. If his dad wasn't named Phil, people wouldn't think he's that good.

I do not understand the stance people take.  It is always either or with everything when it comes to the team.  Gruden love fest versus Dungy love fest.  Grakowski love fest versus Simms love fest.  Bruce Allen love fest versus Rick Mckay love fest.

Simms has shown he can lead a team back in the 4th quarter.  And the same can be said of Gradkowski. QB's that can perform in the 4th quarter have promise.  Those that can not end up like Brian Griese.  Crunch time is what makes and breaks QB's in my opinion.  Does it guarantee they will be all Pro's becuase of that? No.

But do ANY of you remember what Harrignton was able to do LAST year?  He marched down the field and single handedly helped his team by putting them in position to win against our Bucs.  That was a tell tale sign that Harrington was not as bad as Lions fans were saying.   Well look at him now.....

LOL yeah 6-5 220, a cannon and no one would notice right? A lot of NFL QB's have sons only a handful have made it to the NFL.
I think there is plenty of proof obviously Gruden thought he was a good QB unless you think he is retarded and made him the starters for the fans sake???
