Sources have indicated that the Buccaneers and GM Bruce Allen have been in discussions with the Vikings about RB Mewelde Moore for a late second day draft pick with conditions attached to it.

Great players cost a lot of money but help win games. High-priced players - a byproduct of poorly run front offices with bad scouting departments - only cost a lot of money.

I like this idea.

Let's face it, Turner might just be the soup de jour in the league while Moore is a guy who will cost less and may fit better. You don't want to put a square peg in a round hole. Moore seems like a good fit.

Interesting......he has good hands and would be great for depth.

Sweet!  I think he's a great RBBC fit, although not feature back material.  He's also a ST possibility.  Looks like we might not be very active on day 2 next year (Plummer, Sims, maybe Moore)

He can be very production in Gruden's WCO.  His yards per carry are good and he is a good receiver.  For a conditional 2nd day pick he is well worth a look-see.

And he can throw the halfback option pass.

He looked good in '05 when Bennett was out for the Vikings. Something like a poor man's Westbrook.

Well our situation makes us the poor man, and any sort of Westbrook would be an improvement on what we have.

Moore would be interesting ... I'd like to take a look at Sam Gado too ... I was also thinking, what about Fred Taylor with the Jaqs who have it some what deep with  Maurice Jones-Drew, LaBrandon Toefield, Montell Owens & Greg Jones.  I believe he's a FA after this season as well and I'm not sure he'll be part of their "long term" plans.  Could be a nice addition to our RB by committee approach for two years.  One thing is for sure, they should all be somewhat on the cheap side vs going after a guy like Turner, who I like, but not sure I want to give up the farm.

Moore is a younger version of Pittman with better vision and balance as a runner. With Pittman being 32 and in the final year of his contract, would also allow the Bucs to look at replacing Pittman with a young version of him
