I would rather have CJ Spiller...if he comes out.

Since Carnell is quite possibly toast for us...I want James Davis. This guy is a beast. Very solid runner between the tackles. Has the speed to be effective on the outside. Will straight up run you over. Rarely goes down from initial contact. Solid hands out of the backfield. Blocks decently. Could be the guy we have been missing at tailback since we passed on Jackson a couple years back.

I would draft him too if we really need another unnung back but I think we should try to get a RB in free agency or a trade (Michael Turner)

I am hoping the investment in O-line will pay off and we can plug~and~play any decent RB into the offense, much like Denver of old.

That would be nice mjs. I wouldn't mind being able to plug any body in, but at some point you do want a gamebreaker type of running back, and I honestly think he could be the one to do it for us. He only weighs 205lbs, but the dude runs like hes 225. and he hasnt been under 5ypc his whole college career

just go pluck anyone off the USC roster -- don't even worry about which one you get. they have a stable of elite RBs.

I think we'll make a seious run at Turner either thru trade (if price is right) or in FA in March. Probably March.

turner will be too expensive .. and i don't anticipate we'll run for him. RBs don't need to be high priced positions unless their name is LT. look at the colts -- shipping off faulk and then edge and replacing with addai. the pats have managed to find serviceable parts. the broncos do it all the time ..

aside from maybe 2-3 RBs, very few merit huge contracts. invest in the OL and create a RBBC approach with multiple moving parts. also, given the relative ease of RBs contributing early, finding a serviceable back through the draft is the best way.

ahh .. yes ... nice multi-dimensional back. i like me some felix.

(btw, surprised he's 200 -- doesn't he look thicker than that -- or is it just the HD adding 17 pounds?)

reggies isn't an upgrade over what we have? c'mon. granted he's been dudding it up thus far, but i'm not close enough to the levy's to know if this is a sean payton issue, a position coach issue, a scheme issue, a reggie issue, or ...

i'd love to see gruden create mismatches with reggie on the field. dude is a difference maker if used properly.

but aside from the reggie/lendale exhibits, have you seen the current crop of USC runners? they're big, strong, fast, quick and elusive. they all do one thing reggie doesn't do, which is run between the tackles.
