I'm not sure why anyone thinks McCown is gonna ride in and steal the show. Last year, he faced the same scrub level competition Grads did, 3rd and 4th stringers in pre-season. He hit 64%, 2 TD: 2 INT sacked 7 times in 34 attempts. Gradkowski was 73%, 5:3 TD:INT, sacked 3 times on 61 attempts.Worse McCown hit for 261 yards, Grad for 511. McCown got his comp % dumping the ball off for < 10 ypc while Grad got a higher% on comparatively longer throws....both in their first year in this system and in Grads case fewer years in the NFL.
