With Derrick Brooks playing the strongside linebacker spot vs. the Panthers is this a sign that the front office and Monte Kiffin are looking to replace Brooks in the off-season? or did the coaching staff finally relize that he had lost more then one step.

He played strongside?  When?

I would love to see it, with Ruud in the middle, and LANCE BRIGGS on the weakside.

It would make for better playmaking abililty on the second level.

He played to the left of Ruud all most all night vs. the Panthers and Nece played to Ruuds right the spot that Mr. DB always plays go back and watch the film you will see that Brooks was lineup on the right tackle side not the left tackle side that he has been manning for years.

You do know the strong side changes from play to play and formation to formation right?

yes, but when have you every seen brooks playing to the left of Quarles in a game. He played exclusively on the left side of the defense in the second half of the game for what ever reason.

Brooks didn't play strong side LB. This is how it works. Depending on the way the offense comes out, that will dictate the side that Brooks lines up on. He is the weak side LB or Will LB...for weak. In a standard offensive set (2 WR, 1 TE, 2 RB) the TE will line up on one side of the line. That is the strong side. Brooks will be on the opposite side. So, if the TE lines up on the offense's left side (defenses right) that is called a strong right formation (from the defensive point of view). The strong side LB will go to that side. Also, the Bucs played quite a bit of nickle with Carolina using 3 WR sets. That also might be why you saw Brooks in a different position. Anyway, just wanted to point that out for you.

Whoa...shiver me ****in timbers!

Brooks has been on the left of Quarles before.  Like what has been said above, it changes with the alignment of the offense.  You are mistaken.
