Mark May wouldn't exaggerate - but I'm surprised.  USF has a lot of tough games ahead, hope this rise up the rankings doesn't go to their collective heads.

I hate to quote myself, but I think being #2 and no longer the "surprise" team, things went to their heads.

Maybe.  Playing on the road on Thursday night against a pretty good divisional rival had more to do with it IMO.

I tend to agree with MJS.. Greg Schiano is a hell of a coach and while Jersey is a total dump, that Rutgers team is a good team. However i think if that game is in Tampa I think South Florida beats them.

They shouldn't drop out of the top 10.  We'll see if there is any justice in the BCS.

The rankings are all over the place this year and after watching USC and LSU both looking very ordinary two weeks in a row I think USF DESERVE to be in the top five.  The program is growing and improving year-on-year, and with the enrollment and recruiting catchment area I think USF will be in the rankings quite a lot going forward.
