Ohio State will be ranked #1 today and the bulls will probably be #3 on at least one of the polls. Now watch the rest of the teams that Ohio State plays begin to climb the polls. Every year this seems to happen with a Big Ten team that starts to go undefeated. It's disgusting and proves that the only correct way to determine a true national champ is a playoff system. How can ANYONE believe there is any other way??
By the way, watch how the rest of USF's opponents start to fall in the rankings. They do the same thing with USC. if UCLA is a .500 team, they will rank them in the top 20 to bolster their BCS standings. The current system is more than a joke, it's an injustice to all that is right.

Ohio State will come unstuck when/if they face a team with a really fast defense, i.e. the 2006 Gators OR the 2007 Bulls.ÂÂ

Every major conference needs a conference championship game followed by a real playoff to determine a champion.
The polls are joke and change every week on the perception of a particular weeks game.
USF based on yesterday's result certainly belongs at the top of the heap. However Ohio State has the tradition and perception that USF doesn't so automatically when they beat a Kent that is considered far more worthy than USF clobbering a UCF.
Total BS! WE NEED A REAL PLAYOFF IN DIVISION ONE to stop the madness!!

I was thinking this same thing earlier, conspiracy theory. West Virginia and Auburn are going to make it very difficult for them to dismiss what USF has done this season. If you are a USF fan start rooting heavily for these two teams. I am also confident that OSU and BC will lose leaving USF undefeated with no other big name schools. They better not try and pull some BS where they put a one loss Oklahoma ahead of us. We deserve to be at least #2 and besides that, nobody wants to see OSU get SMACKED over and over and over like they did last year.

We'll know at 4:15 this afternoon.
Here are a few links that were posted on the Times' Bulls article that are BCS related. The first one is supposed to be someone who has been fairly accurate at BCS predicting in the past. The second link is to the official BCS site which should have the rankings up fairly quickly.

The rankings suck, and it would be better for the Bulls if they stay at number three for now. IMO

Boston College will lose a game....It's very unlikely they win out.
So if Ohio State trips up somewhere and the Bulls go undefeated it will be very difficult at that point to keep the Bulls out of the national championship. They could keep them out, but it would bring controversy and help crash the system.
