"13. Jon Gruden, Bucs: Yes, Tampa Bay has struggled in recent seasons. But if the Bucs fired him, he'd have a job in five minutes."

Gotta agree with that.

Exactly.  Gruden ia a hard working, football loving SOB.  We all know that much about him...waking up at 3 A.M. is absurd, but it shows a lot of passion.  Plus the man has a nice resume.

i think coulgin, gruden, and edwards should be a little bit higher then where they are. I cant argue against where they placed tomlin at all. in regards to Herm i wasnt a big fan of his when he was with the jets initially but he finds a way to win with little or no talent on his roster consistently.

Herm's too conservative offensively. Not a bad coach, but I don't ever see him winning a Super Bowl.

What has Petrino done to earn 29th? Phillips should be lower, Gruden should be higher.

Do I have to have a Gruden bias to believe he should be ahead of Billick, McCarthy, Wade Phillips???? <--- somebody's stock has really risen in the last five weeks.

You can definitely argue Gruden is better than the 5 guys above him.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

I'm going with:

Overrated: Shanahan, Holmgren, Lovie, Wade

Underrated: Kubiak, Kiffin, Del Rio, Gruden

Andy Reid at #8?  His teams have consistently underachieved given their talent level.  That's a good coaching job?  Philly has missed their window..  but I guess all of the "close but no cigar" moments are good enough.. I mean just ask any eagles fan.

Tomlin at #10?  Pittsburg is still a very talented team and the guy is 6 weeks into his coaching career.  Wonder if he would be that high as the head coach of the Dolphins?

Wade Phillips cracks the top 10 because he is "finally coaching a team with serious talent"  ... gee, put any coach on this list at the helm of Indy and watch them shoot into the top 5..

Gruden's better than Dungy.   He proved that already when he took Dungy's team further than Dungy ever could and won a superbowl.    And we all know Belichick is a cheater.   Therefore: Gruden should be number one on that list.

So did Dungy.... but I think we all know it was time for him to go.

Agree,  just think how many SB(s)  Gruden would have with that Colts O.  Dungy has one in what, 7 years with the best QB in the land.

This one gets me:

9. Wade Phillips, Cowboys: Finally coaching a team with serious talent, he might lead Dallas to the Super Bowl.

So that gets you ahead of guys that have won a SB. ???

The thing with Wade is...doesn't everybody realize the impact Garrett has made on that offense and team in general? They were about to hire him as HC, then decided just to make him head of the offense.
