The 2 biggest needs are center and UT in the offseason. Maybe Greg Peterson turns into a solid ball player, maybe even a starter after 2-3 years but he should just be thought of as a rotational player like most 5th round picks. A stud needs to be brought in at UT who can rush the passer and has great football instincts. We need a forceful center. We need a center who is going to be the toughest guy on the team. Nastier than Davin Joseph, so that Joseph can elevate his game. We need someone mean at center.

After that I say throw some money at a RB and LDE.

Those are the major areas of need.

I know one thing Simeon Rice has totally sucked this season and that is why he only plays on 3rd down passing downs! Thank God we're not strapped with his $11 million per year salary and that is why we're now $19 million under the cap sitting very pretty for this coming off season! :)
Exactly.  Makes BA look better all the time.

The Bucs are going to be ACTIVE in the FA market next year.  Given what GArcia has been able to do with a very beat up offensive team, I am quite anxious to see what the Bucs manage to land.  Not that anxious...a lot of ball left to be watched baby!

I just hope Garcia stays upright, and stays in top shape for next year.  Armed with a years working under GRuden, and he is going to be quite the quarterback.

My thoughts exactly!  I hope Garcia stays healthy and sticks around for a few seasons as I am very excited to see him in Grudens offense after a season under his belt.  We get healthy around him and give him a couple of more weapons and get an even better defense and we should be a serious contender in a season or two.

The entity is just an attnetion seeking, mindless spouter of useless hate-filled ranting. The BUcs could be 8-0, and the fool would still dredge up non-related commonalities.

Never brings up anything positive, the fool lives for this stuff. I wish IT would be banned, as it seems troll like in nature. Problem is, as mindless and meandering as the thoughts it spouts are, people tend to respond to it like voracious piranha attacking a rotting cow corpse in the river...

I stay away. But others LOVE to respond.

If you ignore it, it will dissapear. The more attention you apply, the longer the negative troll lingers. But since it is a fisher of posters, and a HINDSIGHT specialist, you all get sucked in as if it were a blackhole, and you were rays of passing light...

Keep responding to the foolishness. And you will become more aware that you are wasting your keystrokes.

Just telling you all.

I have ignored it since I told it I would. I wish you all would do the same. I beg you all to just ignore IT.

Wow!  What a great post!  Props to you BF as you hit the proverbial nail on the head!  Actually it's really sad as in my 11 years on these boards I have encountered many of his kind and they all have the same common denominator!  They normally lead miserable lives with very few friends and they hate everything around them and that is exactly why they're always so negative about everything.  The sad part is it's a catch 22 scenario, because they're so negative and that is why they have few friends, which in fact feeds their misery.

What is the reason for this thread? Most of us can go to NFL.com to look this up if we need to.

Does it matter neither one plays in Tampa. Lets talk about Adams or Spires or Carter or Patrick because they are the players that are Buccaneers

Simeon rice, the leagues premier sack artist over the last five years gets a 5 year $41 million contract in 2003 after leading the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl. Gaines Adams, the 4th overall pick with no professional sacks, get a 6 year $48 million contract. Idiots on PewterReport.com call Bruce Allen a genius and cap guru while ignoring the facts. Cutting Simeon Rice still cost us a ton against the cap this year.

Contracts:

Simeon Rice-Would have been last year of 5 year $41 Million contract set to pay him $7.25 Million.
Gaines Adams-6 year $48 Million contract with 18.56 Million guaranteed..
Dewayne White-5 year $29 Million contract with Detroit with $13 Million guaranteed.

Yep, those damn buccs released the player who lied to them about his recovery from injury, who guaranteed his availability, who knew he could not play, and still can't use his arm.  Yea, they cut the man who refused to take a reduction commeasurate with the buccs eval of how much of the season he would miss, and the man actually shorted himself money.

Damn buccs.

Damn Gruden, Kiffin, Coyer

Damn Allen

Damn Glazers

You are creating a link that is not there as to White, Rice and Adams.

White was overpriced by all legit measures other than desperation to have a DE, Simeon was addressed above,  your linking the issues is consistent with the bash mentality of all things Gruden and Allen.  Have a fact, link it via bs and hate away.

How does Rice's cost against our cap this year affect us? Who were we not able to sign after he was cut that this affected us? Please advise.

Now, to your second retarded comment, Adams gets a larger contract because of the market in the NFL for rookies. It's not Bruce Allen, it's everyone, they keep driving it up every year. Not too much he can do about it, he has to pay the guy or he doesn't show up. Somethings gonna give soon, you havn't heard all the complaints about rookie contracts from veterans? Your not a very educated fan thats for sure.

Now on to Dewayne White, what the hell is the big deal with this guy? It took him 4 years to become an average player? We don't need him, he had a decent pass rush game against the Bucs because he was pumped up, but other than that so what. He got some pass rush in that game, but our oline was opening gaping holes in his direction. At the end of the day, not much of a loss really. Gaines will be a much better player after 4 years. He's raw and needs coaching and only plays on 3rd down. He will show up and when he does you will be the first with his jersey in your closet next to your vick, mcnabb, brady, moss, and manning jersey.
