That's not the kind of thing you want to mention on a call in to any of the shock jockeys like the Dog.    Stop trying to confuse us with the FACTS !!!!!

It's amazing that tools in this community want to act like he doesn't know how to coach.

Amazing what  a few years of full drafts, accumalating FAs, and a little wiggle room in FA can do to replenishing the talent pool.  I think this year is the start of good things.  Winning with 3rd string RB, back up QBs the past two weeks, thin WR corp, young Oline, mixture of vets, youth and no names on defense.

the problem  with that is even though he has 5 division title in 10 years since he has been the coach here he has also laid an egg the following year, it is great that when things are going good he is the coach you want calling the plays, but what happens if the Glazers sign him to an extension and he stumbles next season that is a pattern that cant be denied. I thing he is how ever starting to change and mature but would like to see what next season brings before handing out a contract extension.

In Football, RESPECT is never given freely by your opponent. It must be TAKEN from them...VIOLENTLY

Great players cost a lot of money but help win games. High-priced players - a byproduct of poorly run front offices with bad scouting departments - only cost a lot of money.

I think the cupborad has started to be replinished.  You also can not deny that there were restraints on this regime (as well as the former regime at the end) due to lost draft picks, salary cap issues and general aging players.  Look at the difference in depth on this team as opposed to a couple of years ago.  The stumbles have a lot less to do with his ability to coach.

the question you have to ask yourself is...do you want Schottenheimer or do you want the Florida Marlins?      The Marlins have already won 2 World Series and after their recent trade of Cabrera and Willis....they're ENTIRE payroll is now 8 million dollars.  Is anybody questioning how they build a team though?  NO.  They did the exact same thing after their 1st World Series, and shortly after dismantling the whole team, they won it again.   Would you rather have been a Braves fan the last decade or the Marlins?  Braves won 10 straight penants w/ no World Series....Marlins won 2 World Series and had years of awfulness mixed in.

Give me a coach that wins his division every other year....SB's are the ONLY thing that matter.

Head coaches are only as good as their assistants and the players they coach allow them to be. A telling fact about how good a coach Gruden is is the fact that men like Kiffin, Hackett, Muir, Morris, etc... are willing to work for him.

Dungy is a much better head coach with Manning playing for him and Moore as OC than he was with Shaun King and Clyde Christianson.

Dungy is just along for the ride. Jim Mora's staff and probowl players power that franchise.

But least we forget the division cellar dweller has won the next year.  The other teams get paid to try as well.

Without Carl Nix it feels like our running game just took a death blow to the face!
