I heard that Shula was fired because he reassigned his assistant coaches rather than releasing them. If that is the case, why do head coaches feel so loyal to their assistants? I feel thats what killed Dungy when he was with the Bucs and I see it with Gruden. We have underperformed on special teams and the O-line. I think a strong case  can be made that those coaches need to be replaced. I will be shocked if Gruden does anything.

The interesting thing is they will bench or release a player for not performing, but they will not hold thier assistant coaches accountable for poor performance. They will stick by these guys even if it costs them their job.
