WHy aren't politics allowed in Pirates Cove anymore?

I actually like the politics threads.   Some of them are ridiculous.   But I learned a few things from those discussions.

I actually liked the political threads. They make the Cove alot more better. Without those threads, the Cove would be nothing but sig requests and pics that make you say damn (not that its a  bad thing )

"Politics" is pretty vague anyway, I doubt this rule will be heavily enforced.

I enjoy the wide variety of posts contributed by UFOJoe, including the topics which sooner or later become political....I answered on the Cove petitions, but want to say here too that I think the political discussions are interesting.   I ignore the posts in which I am not interested and do not hold a grudge against contributors with differing opinions.

I like ufojoe and favor no restrictions on discussion subjects. This is not 1930s Germany or Bucs.com.
